TASTE RACE SHOW PACKAGE
I built this fully-featured package for the pilot episode of Taste Race. This episode focused on locations in Sydney, Australia but the series would potentially feature various global locations and the art direction needed to reflect that globe-hopping journey. The final design direction was inspired by air mail (“par avion”), vintage nautical maps and contemporary motion-collage style.
The production company wanted maps that began with an “epic” zoom. This was my solution.

Seen below are my favorite styleframes from the earliest concepting stage. This show had a protracted production cycle as coronavirus caused delays and shutdowns in Australia. When we got the go-ahead to complete the graphics, the final creative direction seemed clear.
