CAMP CUTTHROAT KITCHEN
This show was based on Alton Brown’s popular Cutthroat Kitchen series — instead of using a professional kitchen these challenges take place in a rustic camping area. Because of the popularity of the original show, the marketing campaign for the two seasons of Camp went all-out. We built snipes that were comically tall, that took over a larger portion of the traditional “snipe” zone. They all feature Alton, shot on greenscreen, in some very silly situations. I keyed and color corrected footage, built “sets” from stock photography and animated many of Alton’s interactions.

I also created graphical title cards for a promo that highlighted popular “sabotages” from the show. To build these scenes I grabbed a handful of stock images, added a touch of color correction and lighting and composited them around the central text animation.

For the show’s second season I once again had the opportunity to bring green-screen footage to life in a fantastical way. For this marketing campaign we decided to push absurdly long boats across the length of the screen to drive viewers.
